My daily average is 11". I use a baster to suck up detritus from around the tank and shoot it down the overflow. The reef mat does a good job at catching most of it. I'll manually advance the roll from time to time to prevent the detritus from overflowing into the sump. I'd probably average...

You could also try e plastics, They have a scrap bin, buy a few small sheets and some weld on and fab one yourself for cheap. They don't have to be round, you could do a 3 in one rectangle or do 3 single squares. They sell cylinders as well. The scrap box usually has some pretty nice stuff...
