SPStank.com is the real deal. I have been visiting and purchasing corals from him for 2 years now. He grows some of the nicest corals in SoCal. His corals go through a very rigorous quarantine process before ever going into his aquaculture system, and though it is a tough pill for him to swallow, he will throw away an $1000 unhealthy coral before ever trying to save it in his system. Unlike most coral vendors these days, he is not a wild coral chop shop or wholesale coral flipper who puts the burden of pest control on their clients. He is a true aquaculture vendor and he grows the corals himself in clean healthy pest free systems. I encourage anyone who has the time, to drive up and check out his tanks and dozens of football sized acropora colonies. He is by appointment only so make sure to arrange it ahead of time.
It was only after buying healthy problem free SPS from SPStank.com that I realized the biggest challenge in growing SPS is getting healthy corals. I have recieved nothing but chunky healthy frags from SPStank.com.
